What an incredible afternoon of community connection, inspiration, and celebration! On August 25th, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we hosted the Durham Volunteer Fair for the first time at the Audley Recreation Centre. With over 40 passionate community members in attendance and 13 fantastic non-profit organizations sharing their missions, the hall was buzzing with energy from start to finish.
A Huge Thanks to Our Participating Non-Profits

Events like this wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of local leaders, community organizers, and non-profits who show up every day to make a difference in Durham Region.
We were thrilled to showcase these amazing organizations:
A extra special shoutout to ICSN (Inclusion in Canadian Sports Network) for delivering an inspiring speech during our opening remarks! Your dedication to racial equity, mentorship, and building inclusive pathways in sport set an incredible tone for the entire fair.
Bingo Prizes, Photo Fun, and Raffle Winners
We wanted to make sure everyone walked away with something special:
Volunteer Bingo Challenge: Attendees explored the room, completed their bingo cards, and took home amazing prizes, including handmade crochet kits, adorable Dewey pins, Hot Wheels, and yoga mats!
Photobooth Memories: Our photobooth station was a major hit! Guests snapped adorable keepsakes alongside our resident grey fox mascot, Dewey! 🦊
Grand Raffle Drawing: We handed out raffle prizes generously provided by our community partners, including Tracer Golf, Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), Four Seasons Golf, Town of Oshawa, Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), and Farm Boy!
